Stu Cline, 63, retired, is the Director and part owner of Cline Homes.
Stu is the former Chairman of Morrison Homes, Inc, the US subsidiary of George Wimpey PLC, the largest publicly-owned homebuilder in the UK. Prior to moving into the Chairman role in January, 2005, Stu had been President/CEO of Morrison Homes, the 18th largest builder in the US, since June 1994. In addition, Stu has been a member of the George Wimpey, PLC Board of Directors since December 2000. Before joining Morrison, Stu spent 22 years with The Ryland Group, Inc in various management and operational positions, joining as a field supervisor in 1972 and rising through management to become President of Ryland Homes in 1989.
Stu served as an officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers from 1966-1969, received a BS Degree in Civil Engineering in 1971 from the University of Delaware and an MBA Degree in 1974 from Loyola College, Baltimore.
He resides in downtown Charleston with Jan, his wife of 39 years.
